A couple is lucky to be unhurt after a strange accident that left their 2011 Ford truck submerged in the Neshaminy Creek Wednesday night, officials said.

As reported by the auto accident attorneys from Law Office of Daniel Deng, no injuries were reported when a Ford Super Duty truck with a boat trailer attached rolled backward into the dark water of the Neshaminy Creek at the Neshaminy Marina in the Croydon section of Bristol Township, Park Ranger Ron Gehring said.

The owner of the vehicle was in the water on his boat preparing to load it onto the trailer at the marina just before 9 p.m. The truck started to roll back, Gehring said, and the man jumped off the boat and rushed to pull his wife from the cab of the truck before it was inundated with water.

The truck came to rest in 8 to 10 feet of water, the state park ranger said.

Gehring said he was unsure of what caused the truck to roll back into the water.

Firefighters from Croydon Fire Company and special marine crews from the Lower Southampton Fire Company responded to the scene. A tow truck was able to remove the white truck from the water.
