A woman who used to live in Falls Township was arrested on Friday for sexually assaulting a woman while she was passed out, according to court documents.
Officials say the assault allegedly took place in November of 2011 but charges weren’t filed against Sarah Jefferson, 26, of Lower Makefield, until last month.

According to the police affidavit, Falls Township police initiated an investigation after an incident in January of 2012 where they were dispatched to a disturbance call on the 1200 block of Bristol Pike.
A 19-year-old woman at the scene said she was banging on Jefferson’s door because she believed the woman sexually assaulted her in November of 2011.
Police in February 2012, met with the woman who explained that the night of the attack she was hanging out at Jefferson’s home with another friend, who subsequently left around midnight. At 2 a.m the woman and Jefferson went to pick up another friend, returning to Jefferson’s domicile to drink and watch TV, court documents say.

After having three drinks, the woman reported feeling very tired and her next “clear memory” was waking up in Jefferson’s bed with her “pants down,” and left right away, according to the police affidavit.

In January of 2012, the woman and Jefferson had a brief shouting match, which Jefferson’s father and stepmother inquired about. Jefferson told them “she got a little taste” but then the woman woke up, police said.
In August police interviewed the friend who was in Jefferson’s home at the time of the alleged attack, and he said Jefferson followed the woman in to the bedroom, while he remained in the living room, when he heard the woman “yelling for help,” court documents say. He went to the bedroom, saw Jefferson “grabbing and kissing” as the woman was yelling for Jefferson to “stop.”
The man told police he tried to stop Jefferson but was concerned about hurting her, as the woman was now passed out, police said.

Jefferson was arrested Friday, and arraigned before Bensalem District Court Judge Joesph Falcone.
Jefferson is charged with indecent sexual assault on an unconscious person, aggravated indecent assault and two other additional charges.

She is out on $100,000 unsecured bail.
