A 25-year-old Bristol Township man who is alleged to have stabbed his pregnant girlfriend in a Bristol Borough parking lot pleaded no contest and was declared mentally ill in county court on Monday, PhillyBurbs.com reports.
Glenn Witherspoon will be sentenced for attempted murder, aggravated assault and possessing an instrument of crime, court records show.

Witherspoon told the victim, Jessica Fields, he wanted to watch the sunrise with her on the morning of April 19, 2012. Just a short time later, Fields, pregnant at the time, was bleeding from several stab wounds and fighting for life, according to NBC10.com.
