After a year break due to COVID-19, the Penndel-Hulmeville and Langhorne Borough Memorial Day parades are scheduled for 2021.
Jesse Soby American Legion Post No. 148 said their annual ceremony and parade will be held on Memorial Day Monday. The ceremony will start at 9 am. at the post on West Richardson Avenue and the parade will follow. The parade will include emergency responders, community groups, local bands, and the kids’ bicycle parade.

The organizers are looking for convertibles to transport veterans and dignitaries. Anyone looking to volunteer their car or march in the parade can contact Don Minnick at 215-801-4798 or motown411@verizon.net.
“Please note that we recommend social distancing, mask, and/or whatever PA guidelines are in place at the time of the parade,” a press release from parade organizers said.
The annual Penndel-Hulmeville Memorial Day Parade will take place on Saturday, May 29 at 9 a.m., according to Ed Preston, one of the organizers.

Those looking to take part can register before 8 a.m. at Preston’s Garage at 115 Reetz Avenue in Hulmeville Borough on the day of the parade. Preton said anyone with questions can email info@p-hmemorialparade.org.
All of Pennsylvania’s COVID-19 mitigation restrictions are set to expire on Memorial Day, aside from the masking order. The governor said the masking order, which applies outside if you will be within six feet of others, will end when 70 percent of the population is vaccinated.
