Fisher pleaded guilty in August to homicide by vehicle while DUI, simple assault, and DUI. Prosecutors did not move forward with charges of homicide by vehicle, aggravated assault by vehicle, accidents involving death, involuntary manslaughter, and related offenses, according to a court docket.

Fisher, according to court papers, was driving a silver 2007 Ford Escape on Lincoln Highway near 84 Lumber in June 2018 when he struck a black 2008 Mercury Mariner driven by Michael Carlino, 65, of Bensalem, who died from his injuries.

Carlino had to be cut from his vehicle after the head-on crash. Fisher instructed the passengers in his vehicle to lie and state he had not been driving, police said.

Officers who spoke to Fisher at the crash scene detected a strong odor of alcohol emanating from his person and his eyes were bloodshot and glassy.

Fisher had a blood-alcohol concentration of .10 and did not have a valid driver’s license at the time of the crash, police said.
