A Falls Township building supply company received state funds to enhance a portion of rail line that goes to its factory.
Blue Ridge Wood Products LLC on Rock Run Road in the Keystone Industrial Port Complex was awarded $249,420 to rehabilitate 700 feet of existing track to improve the efficiency of its inbound railcar unloading operations, according to PennDOT.

“These funds will increase mobility options, as well as improve freight travel efficiency,” State Rep. John Galloway said. “A strong rail system means increased economic development in Bucks County.”
The grant was one of 26 rail freight improvement projects funded in the state, which boasts more operating railroads than any other state.
