Drivers in Middletown Township this week should prepare for daytime traffic delays along I-295 near the Route 1 Interchange, according to PennDOT.

Lane closures will impact eastbound and westbound traffic on I-295 approaching the interchange from Tuesday, Aug. 11, through Thursday, Aug. 13, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
PennDOT officials said the traffic impacts are for work on pavement markings.
Drivers are asked to allow additional time for their commutes through the construction zone. Traffic backups and delays are expected.

The planned work is weather dependent and subject to change in the event of inclement conditions.
Hamilton, New Jersey-based IEW Construction Group Inc. is serving as the general contractor for the project, which is fully financed through federal funds.
