Adapted from the hit movie, the show follows down-on-his-luck musician Dewey Finn as he poses as a substitute teacher and turns a class of straight-laced students into a rock band. The high-energy production highlights themes of friendship, confidence, and music.
Students entering fifth through seventh grades will present “Matilda, Jr.” in the Theater Workshop production.

Based on the Roald Dahl novel, the musical tells the story of Matilda Wormwood, an imaginative girl who uses courage, kindness, and determination to navigate difficult circumstances and stand up for what is right.
“School of Rock” and “Matilda, Jr.” will take place in the high school’s Theodore Kloos Auditorium.
The program’s youngest performers, which are those entering second through fourth grades, will perform “Hollywood Revisited” in the school’s Black Box Theater.
