Pop star Jesse McCartney will headline the Pennsbury High School prom this Saturday, the Pennsbury School District posted on social media.

The “Beautiful Soul” singer joins a long tradition of high-profile artists who have performed at the school’s annual event. Past prom performers include John Mayer, The Plain White T’s, Natasha Bedingfield, The Sugarhill Gang, Questlove, and DJ Pauly D of MTV’s “Jersey Shore.”
This year’s theme for the Pennsbury High School Class of 2026 is “Road Trip Across America,” which officials said will allow students to hit the road without actually leaving their hometown.
Attendance to prom and the performance is limited to students and their dates who have tickets.

McCartney gained widespread fame as a member of the boy band Dream Street after working as a child actor on “Law & Order” and the soap opera “All My Children.”
As a solo artist, he landed several singles on the charts, including “Leavin’” and “Body Language,” which featured rapper T-Pain.

While his the highpoint of his fame was in the 2000s, McCartney has remained active this decade and released three albums and EPs. He also recently served as the opening act on the Jonas Brothers’ tour.
The performer is married and recently welcomed a son into the world.
