Firefighters rushed to a home in Falls Township’s Levittown section Friday morning for a blaze.

Fire crews were called to the 200 block of Birch Drive at 10:23 a.m. for a reported dwelling fire.
The resident reported hearing a noise in the attic, went outside, and saw smoke coming from the residence, Falls Township Fire Marshal Rich Dippolito said.
The two people inside the home got out and firefighters arrived.

Dippolito said crews largely contained the flames to the attic and extinguished them.
Firefighters cut open parts of the ceiling to make sure the fire didn’t extend further, the fire marshal said.
No injuries were reported.

The fire was determined to be an electrical fire in the attic of the home, Dippolito said.
The Falls Township, Fairless Hills, Levittown No. 1, and Levittown No. 2 fire companies responded.
