Ryan Leighton and Christian Gallardo Sr., both Democrats, defeated Republican challengers Tom Magdelinskas and Lisa Leedom for the supervisor seats.

The vacancies were created by Supervisor Dawn Quirple choosing not to seek reelection and the death of Supervisor Anna Payne.

The new members will join the board in the new year.

In other contested races, the outcome for tax collector was a tight victory for the Republican incumbent.

Ray Chapman, the current tax collector and a Republican, fended off a challenge from Democrat Susan Corcoran to retain his seat.
