

A 61-year-old man was arrested last month after a bicycle chase with Bucks County Sheriff’s Office deputies.

The man was wanted by the Bucks County Court of Common Pleas on drug-related charges at the time of the incident.
According to court papers, four deputies from the Bucks County Sheriff’s Office’s warrant squad went to the 800 block of Pine Street in Bristol Borough to find the man. Deputies saw the man leave his home on a bicycle and gave chase.
Deputies, according to the sheriff’s office, began to pursue the man with lights and sirens activated on Beaver Street.

The man weaved through the borough before two deputies got ahead of him and took him into custody in the parking lot of a Burger King on Route 13.
The man was charged with evading arrest or detention on foot. He is being held on 10 percent of a $2,000 bail and is scheduled to have probation/parole violation hearings next month.
