The crash occurred at approximately 7:45 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 4, in the 900 block of Bellevue Avenue in Hulmeville Borough when a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze traveling at a high speed struck a 2018 Kia Sportage that was stopped for a school bus with its stop arm extended and lights flashing, state police said.

The Cruze swerved and hit side of the Sportage, and the Cruze went off the roadway and into a PECO utility pole, state police said.

The driver of the Cruze, a 26-year-old Bensalem Township man, suffered shoulder and leg injuries and was taken to St. Mary Medical Center in Middletown Township by the Bensalem Emergency Medical Squad, state police said.
