Daniel Joseph Finley, 39, of Fairless Hills, was arrested after allegedly assaulting one woman and later attempting to break into another woman’s home.
Bristol Township police were called at 6:08 a.m. on July 14 for a report of a dispute.
A woman told an officer that Finley had been continuously calling her phone since the previous night from multiple numbers. She said Finley called her around 5:30 a.m. and asked her to pick him up from New Falls Road and Levittown Parkway, police said.

The woman stated that when she arrived, Finley emerged from bushes without shoes and in the previous day’s clothing. He allegedly ran “aggressively” toward her car, yelling, and then entered the vehicle, acting “irate,” police said.
The woman told police Finley demanded she drive him to a specific location, and when she refused, he allegedly grabbed the steering wheel.

The woman removed the keys from the ignition, and Finley reportedly grabbed and scratched her, allowing her to escape the vehicle, police said.
Finley allegedly chased the woman around her car in the middle of New Falls Road before she was eventually able to get back into her vehicle and lock the doors, police said.
Finley reportedly jumped on the vehicle as she drove away.

The woman sustained several non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
Later the same day, around 9:05 a.m., Bristol Township police responded to a call on Oaktree Drive for a reported trespassing and burglary in progress.

A different woman reported that Finley was attempting to gain access to her home, police said.
The woman told investigators that Finley had entered her home earlier that morning and kicked the door to a children’s bedroom, causing damage. Finley then allegedly grabbed the arms of two children and dragged them across the floor in an attempt to make them leave.

The 39-year-old man reportedly dropped the children, who then escaped, after a man living in the home confronted him.
Finley left the scene but returned around 9 a.m. in a work truck, according to police.

The man allegedly drove the truck onto the Oaktree Drive yard, revved the engine, knocked over patio furniture, and again attempted to enter the home, police said.
Finley reportedly threatened to kill the woman.
“Dan loves his family dearly and this entire incident has been grossly, exaggerated and overstated,” said Lou Busico, Finley’s defense attorney.

Finley is facing charges including simple assault, reckless endangerment, burglary, criminal trespassing, and terroristic threats for the incidents. He was preliminarily arraigned in both cases and released after posting bail.
