

A Fairless Hills man is facing charges that he robbed a bank in Voorhees, New Jersey.

Phu V. Nguyen, 35, was taken into custody Thursday, July 3, in the 200 block of Easton Road in Horsham Township, Montgomery Township, by the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force and Horsham Township police.
Police said Nguyen was arrested without incident.
The Camden County (New Jersey) Prosecutor’s Office alleges Nguyen robbed the Bank of Princeton branch on Route 73 in Voorhees on June 27.

According to prosecutorsm Nguyen entered the bank shortly before 11:45 a.m., passed a note to the teller, and fled with an undisclosed amount of money.
Nguyen displayed what appeared to be a gun in his waistband but did not hold it toward staff or customers during the robbery, prosecutors said.

Nguyen has been charged in New Jersey with robbery and weapons offenses.
According to court records, Nguyen was held at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility before being released on bond. He is awaiting an extradition hearing to face the charges in New Jersey.
