A small fire on the roof of an inbound SEPTA Trenton Regional Rail Line train disrupted service at the Levittown Train Station Tuesday morning

The fire was reported at approximately 7:15 a.m. on the roof area of the train. Emergency crews quickly responded to the scene.
Approximately 100 passengers on board and were safely evacuated, SEPTA spokesperson John Golden said.
The passengers were safely transferred to another train and continued their journey to Center City, Golden said.

The Trenton Line remains open, but riders should anticipate delays as a result of the incident.
In February, a fire caused $10 million in damage to a six-car SEPTA Regional Rail train that was traveling from West Trenton to Newark, Delaware. The cause of the fire is under investigation, according to a federal safety review.
