The funding was awarded through the Pennsylvania Strategic Investments to Enhance Sites Program (PA SITES) and will be used for site preparation activities on the last undeveloped 6.9-acre parcel of the Crownwood Industrial Park on North Wilson Avenue.

Crownwood Condo 4 LLC will use the money to prepare the site to accommodate a 100,000 square foot industrial facility, according to the governor’s office.

Shapiro, a Democrat, and Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development Secretary Rick Siger highlighted the Bristol Township project as part of 11 projects statewide receiving a total of $64 million through the PA SITES program during an event in Bedford COunty.

The governor’s office noted that the PA SITES program incorporates feedback from national site selectors to develop properties that attract growing companies. The PA SITES Construction Grant provides gap financing for strategic sites needing financial assistance to reduce development risks for businesses, aiming to enhance the state’s competitiveness for expanding and relocating businesses, officials said.

The PA SITES program is funded with $400 million from the 2024-2025 state budget.

“We’ve heard loud and clear that Pennsylvania needs to develop more sites we can use to sell our Commonwealth to companies that want to grow and thrive here,” Shapiro said. “These sites are key to growing our economy, creating more jobs and thriving communities, and helping Pennsylvania compete — and win.”

State Sen. Steve Santarsiero and State Rep. Tina Davis, both Democrats, advocated for the funding for the Bristol Township property through the PA SITES program.

“The PA SITES investment in Bristol Township will boost the local economy through the creation of new jobs, tax revenue and the expansion of local industrial economic activity,” Santarsiero said. “I enthusiastically supported this funding award and applaud Governor Shapiro and DCED Secretary Siger’s partnership in boosting economic potential here in Bucks County.”

Davis added, “This grant will allow Bristol Township to take a key step forward in preparing the Crownwood Industrial Park for future industrial use. By making this site shovel-ready, we’re improving our ability to attract new businesses and support job growth. I appreciate the Commonwealth’s investment in our region and the practical approach PA SITES is taking to strengthen Pennsylvania’s economic foundation. I was proud to advocate for this project and help ensure our community is positioned for long-term economic success.”

Officials reported significant interest in the recent funding round, with 66 applications requesting over $377 million in state investment.
