
State transportation crews and contractors are ramping up efforts to mend pothole-damaged roads this week.

According to PennDOT, crews will be out to patch potholes on more than 60 state-maintained routes across Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Philadelphia, and Montgomery counties.
In the Levittown area, crews will target potholes on the following roads:
- Route 13 in Falls Township.
- Edgely Road in Bristol Township.
- Bristol-Oxford Valley Road in Bristol Township and Middletown Township.
Potholes in the region is attributed to the frequent shifts between freezing and thawing temperatures, a condition that weakens road surfaces, according to PennDOT.

Officials are asking motorists to reduce speed in work zones and avoid distractions to ensure the safety of both road workers and fellow drivers.
PennDOT reminds motorists that potholes can be reported to the Customer Care Center by visiting customercare.penndot.pa.gov.
