

A driver was rescued Sunday afternoon after a crash left their SUV perched about off the ground.

The crash was reported at approximately 1:45 p.m. on Bath Road, across from the driveway to the Bristol Township Municipal Complex.

The vehicle became stuck on bollards and the driver was unable to leave the SUV, Third District Fire Company Chief Howard McGoldrick said.
Police and firefighters responded to the scene and stabilized the SUV, using rescue equipment, McGoldrick said.

Firefighters assisted the driver down a ladder after stabilizing the vehicle, the chief said.
The driver sustained minor injuries in the afternoon crash.

The crash SUV ended up just inches from smashing into a shed the backyard of the home, which sits between Laurel Drive and Bath Road.
Bath Road was closed in the area of the crash until shortly after 2 p.m. while emergency crews worked to clear the scene.
