The closure on Thursday marked the latest in a series for the restaurant chain, which is reportedly considering bankruptcy.
Employees were seen clearing out the location on Friday afternoon.
Despite these closures, TGI Fridays locations in Bensalem Township, Philadelphia, and Quakertown Borough remained open as of Friday.

A notice posted on the door of the Middletown Township location expressed gratitude to customers and staff.

The location closure follows the earlier closures of neighboring Ground Round in 2020 and Bertucci’s Italian Restaurant in 2022.
The impact on staff numbers cut at the Middletown Township location was not known, and efforts to reach the company for comment were unsuccessful.
To make matters worse, staff clearing out of the restaurant on Friday had to contend with fumes in the building that led to firefighters and an ambulance responding, according to dispatch records.

TGI Fridays announced in January that it would be closing 36 underperforming restaurants.
According to Restaurant Business, a trade publication, TGI Fridays is preparing to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy due to rising interest rates, substantial debt, and stiff competition. However, as of this Friday, the company has not filed for bankruptcy.
