Thieves Might Be Targeting FedEx Deliveries In Levittown Area

Authorities are on the lookout after package thefts that occurred Wednesday.

At approximately 11:47 a.m. on Wednesday, a new Samsung Galaxy S24 that was valued at $1,299 was delivered by FedEx to the residence of a township employee in the 2100 block of West Old Lincoln Highway in Middletown Township, police said.

Surveillance footage captured a black 2008 to 2014 Acura TL sedan with dark tinted windows arriving at the scene shortly after at 12:10 p.m., police said.

According to investigators, a Black man dressed in a black hoodie, red maroon running pants, and black sneakers was seen exiting the rear driver’s side of the sedan.

The suspect, who concealed his face with the hoodie, approached the porch, seized the package, and then retreated to the front passenger seat before the vehicle sped away, authorities said.

Police noted the suspect touched the handrail, which has been swabbed for DNA.

Later that day, a similar incident occurred in Falls Township, involving what is believed to be the same Acura TL.

In that incident, two cell phones were stolen from the residence of a Middletown Township business owner, police said.

A gray, newer model minivan was also involved in the theft, police said.

Authorities believe the suspects may be following FedEx delivery routes, targeting packages shortly after delivery in both townships.

Police said they are particularly interested in any sightings of individuals matching the suspect’s description, especially if seen with a new purple Samsung phone.
