The Edgely Fire Company has been awarded $613,363.63 from the Federal Emergency Management Agencyโ€™s (FEMA) Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) program.

According to Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick, a Republican, the funding will enable the purchase of 173 sets of state-of-the-art structural firefighting gear.

The money will provide complete equipment for firefighters in Bristol Township, Bristol Borough, Falls Township, and Morrisville Borough.

โ€œWe are incredibly thankful for the $631,000 grant from the Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) program, which will provide much-needed new structural gear for our dedicated volunteer firefighters. This grant, awarded to multiple fire departments from several municipalities, not only ensures the safety of our teams but also opens up funding for other important projects. We extend our deepest gratitude to Congressman Fitzpatrick for his unwavering support in securing this vital funding and continued support to the local fire departments,โ€ saidย Brian Cirard, chief of Edgely Fire Company.

Additionally, the Quakertown Fire Company and Plumsteadville Volunteer Fire Company have received funding through the same FEMA program
