The closure of Loretta’s on Mill Street came after the Bristol Sunday Stroll event last month.

The eatery, a breakfast and lunch spot on Mill Street, made the closure announcement via Instagram.

“Itโ€™s with a heavy heart that we make this announcement, but wanted to let our loyal customers know. We have made amazing friends and great memories over the past two years and loved every minute,” the eatery posted.

Lorettaโ€™s was opened in summer 2022 by entrepreneur Louis A. Busico and was named in honor of his maternal grandmother.

The restaurant quickly became known for its authentic Italian food and attention to detail.

Lorettaโ€™s occupied the space in the 300 block of Mill Street that was previously home to Angelinaโ€™s Bake Shop, which closed in May 2022.

Over the past decade, Mill Street has seen a surge in the number of eateries, with several changes and new openings. Just last month, Drift on Mill joined the dining scene.
