A 37-year-old bicyclist killed in a hit-and-run crash over the weekend has been identified as a Bristol resident.

Steven Robbins, of Bristol, died from blunt impact injuries after being struck on Route 13, according to Bucks County Coroner Patti Campi. Her office ruled the manner of death an accident.
The crash happened at approximately 12:18 a.m. Sunday on a stretch of Route 13 between Bath Street and Commerce Circle, according to law enforcement sources.
Robbins was pronounced dead at the scene, and his body was removed by the coroner’s office.

Bristol Borough police Chief Joe Moors stated that the investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
Police, firefighters, and the Bucks County Rescue Squad, rushed to the scene after the report of the crash.

Officers from both Bristol Borough and Bristol Township police departments closed the section of the roadway to allow investigators to document the scene.
The vehicle suspected of striking Robbins was later located in Lower Bucks County, a law enforcement source said.

Route 13 has a history as one of the most dangerous roadways for pedestrians in the area and has had numerous fatal crashes over the years.

Earlier this month, on May 13, another bicyclist sustained non-fatal injuries after being struck by a vehicle on Route 13 outside the Golden Eagle Diner, according to DelawareValleyNews.com.
