A man totaled a Jeep while attempting to flee from police earlier this month, according to authorities.

On the evening of June 6, a Bristol Township police officer noticed a white Nissan Altima committing traffic violations at the intersection of Green Lane and Mill Creek Road. The vehicle failed to stop at a posted sign and did not use turn signals while navigating through several local streets, according to police.
An officer attempted to stop the vehicle for the violations, but the driver accelerated, exceeding the speed limit, and turned off the vehicle’s headlights and tail lights in an apparent effort to evade capture in the Levittown section of the township, police said.
The chase continued at high speeds and the Nissan eventually driving onto the sidewalk, police said.

The car went across the lawn of a residence in the 30 block of Violetwood Drive and it crashed into a parked Jeep, police said.
According to investigators, the Jeep was valued at $28,000 and had significant damage. There was further damage to the lawn of the home.

After the crash, the driver fled on foot towards nearby woods and eluded officers at the scene. He was later spotted in security video fleeing, police said.
As of Monday, the suspect had not been preliminarily arraigned, and he was identified as William Lee Myrick Jr., 50, of Philadelphia. Myrick faces charges including fleeing or attempting to elude an officer, criminal mischief, evading arrest, disorderly conduct, and additional offenses related to the chase and crash.
Bristol Township police recently listed Myrick as among the most wanted by the department.
