A motorcyclist was injured early Saturday morning after colliding with a tractor-trailer in Bristol Township, according to authorities.

Bristol Township police reported that the accident occurred at approximately 3:39 a.m. on State Road near River Road in the Croydon section of the townsihp.
The motorcyclist, who was heading north, struck the rear of a tractor-trailer as it was making a turn to head south on State Road, police said.
The motorcyclist was transported to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital in Philadelphia.

The severity of the injuries to the motorcyclist had not yet been determined as of Saturday morning, but investigators confirmed that the motorcyclist was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
The tractor-trailer sustained minor damage and was able to be driven from the scene, police said.

In addition to police, the Bucks County Rescue Squad and the Croydon Fire Company assisted at the scene.
