

A line of severe thunderstorms swept through Lower Bucks County on Friday evening.

The system unleashing high winds, heavy rainfall, and hail. It result in damage and power outages, mostly in Bristol Borough and parts of Bristol Township.
The storm, which struck around 5:45 p.m., brought winds strong enough to topple trees and snap limbs, while the rainfall led to spotty flash flooding on the area.
The most severe impacts were felt in Bristol Borough and Bristol Townshipโs Croydon, Newportville, and West Bristol sections.

By 8 p.m., approximately 4,000 customers in Bristol Borough and Bristol Township were without electricity, according to PECO. Power was restored after several smaller, scattered outages in Levittown.
Local reports indicated flash flooding on Cedar Avenue in Croydon, while fallen tree limbs obstructed traffic near the intersection of Route 13. Additionally, a fallen tree caused damage to PECO equipment at a substation in Bristol Borough and traffic lights in both the borough and township were also reported.

Rainfall varied significantly across the area, with some places closer to the Delaware River in Bristol Borough and Bristol Township receiving over 2 inches of rain. Much of Levittown saw less than half an inch, according to National Weather Service data.
The National Weather Service predicted another chance of rain through early Saturday morning but forecasted a drier pattern with no significant rainfall expected from Saturday through the following Friday.
