

A New Jersey man is expected to face charges after he allegedly fled from Pennsylvania State Police during a Falls Township traffic stop on Sunday night, authorities said.

According to a statement from the state police, a trooper noticed a black Audi Q7 driving recklessly along Route 1 northbound near the Route 13 exit around 10:30 p.m. The vehicle was also observed committing other traffic violations.
When the trooper attempted to pull over the Audi, the driver accelerated and fled at a high rate of speed, state police said.
The pursuit was called off as the vehicle continued toward New Jersey, according to troopers.

State police were able to obtain the Audi’s license plate number during the chase.
The registered owner was later found at his home in New Jersey, and it was confirmed that he was the driver who had evaded law enforcement, state police said.

The man’s identity has not been released, but charges were pending as of Wednesday.
