Candlelight Tribute For Crime Victims Being Held At Core Creek Park

The Network of Victim Assistance (NOVA) will hold a Candlelight Tribute for Victims of Crime at Core Creek Park in Middletown Township.

The event will take place at Pavilion 11 on Tuesday, May 14, from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

The annual event aims to honor victims of crime, their families, friends, and those who assist them, fostering a sense of healing and awareness within the community, according to organizers.

The evening will begin with a gathering and reception at 6 p.m., followed by the main event at 6:30 p.m., which includes a program of reflection, music, and stories from victims and survivors.

Bucks County District Attorney Jennifer Schorn will speak on the vital role of supporting victims and their families throughout their healing journeys.

Attendees will also experience an exhibit showcasing artwork from victims and survivors and interactive art stations.

The event will conclude with a candlelit walk of intention, offering participants a chance to honor either themselves or others affected by crime.

NOVA, a non-profit organization founded in 1974, is dedicated to supporting and empowering victims in Bucks County through advocacy, training, and prevention education. The operate offices in Fairless Hills, Jamison, and Perkasie.

The tribute is open to all, and no RSVP is required for attendance.
