A 51-year-old Bristol Township man was arrested Tuesday on allegations he raped and sexually assault a school-aged girl, according to court papers.

Carlos Navedo came before District Judge Kevin Wagner Tuesday afternoon to be preliminarily arraigned on 17 charges, including rape of a child, rape by forcible compulsion, statutory sexual assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, corruption of minors, obscene sexual materials, and others.
Bristol Township police wrote in an affidavit of probable cause that a 12-year-old girl reported recently that she has sexual contact with an adult.
On Monday, authorities interviewed a girl who said that Navedo had raped her on at lease one occasion and sexually assaulted her other times, police said.

The girl said she awoke once to find herself being touched in private areas by the man, police said.
Police alleged in court papers that Navedo had shown the girl videos of people performing sex acts.

The girl said the incident happened when she was around 10 or 11 years old and in Bristol Township, according to police.
In old court records, Navedo appears to have pleaded guilty in 2000 to statutory sexual assault and indecent assault on a person less than 16 years of age out of Warrington Township.
In a separate case, he pleaded guilty to fleeing or attempting to elude Warminster Township police in 1997, court papers stated.

On Tuesday, the district judge set bail at 10 percent of $10 million. He was remanded to the Bucks County Correctional Facility.
