The borough’s millage rate will remain steady at 51.39, translating to $76,000 in revenue per mil.
The exact amount allocated for the general fund spending plan, estimated at around $7 million, was not officially confirmed by borough officials.
Officials noted that Bristol Borough currently holds no debt service.

The budget funds the recreation program, public works, and borough’s law enforcement, funding a total of 10 full-time officers and five part-time officers.
The cost for refuse collection will be rising. Homeowners will now face a charge of $675, an increase driven by a more expensive trash and recycling contract.

“The budget reflects the cost of refuse removal, including bulk items, as well as the cost for the street sweeper. The prior rate was in place for nine years. The new rate reflects an increase of $5.38 per week,” Borough Manager James Dillon said.
In 2020, the sale of a skating rink enabled a tax reduction of 6.5 mils, amounting to an 11.2 percent decrease.
The sale of the borough’s wastewater system to the Bucks County Water and Sewer Authority for $50 million has been a fiscal boon. The proceeds from this sale have been invested, with expected returns of $720,959 in 2024.
