Police have arrested Jamir Middleton following a Thursday, November 30 call to Bald Cypress Lane in Levittown. The homeowner reported Middleton banging on the driver-side window of her teenage granddaughter’s car.

On November 30 shortly before the Bald Cypress Lane dispatch, a witness reported seeing a Toyota striking a silver Volvo driven by the teen girl several times near North Oxford Valley Road. The incident began near Big Oak Road and continued south along North Oxford Valley Road.

A few minutes later, a caller reported a speeding, reckless driver near Hood Boulevard and South Oxford Valley Road. The caller described a Toyota trying to run a Volvo off the road, police said.

According to information obtained by investigators, the incident ended in the Burger King parking lot on New Falls Road, where Middleton trapped the girl’s Volvo in a parking spot and repeatedly struck it with his vehicle.

The girl in her Volvo was forced to drive over a curb to escape, police said.

Two witnesses spoke with an officer to confirm what they saw, and a Burger King employee confirmed witnessed the Toyota striking the Volvo. The employee also saw the girl’s Volvo escape over the curb, police said.

An officer obtained footage from Bald Cypress Lane showing Middleton at the scene and identified the Toyota involved, which he is alleged to have operated, police said.

In the video reviewed by police, Middleton was heard saying, โ€œIโ€™m not going to jailโ€ while banging on the Volvo vehicle.

Law enforcement license plate reader cameras helped police conclude that Middleton followed the girl from her workplace in Lower Makefield Township to her residence, police said.

โ€œThe defendant’s actions placed not only the victim but also the public at risk of injury,โ€ the investigating officer stated in court documents.

The November 30 incident followed Middleton’s prior charges on November 20 for simple assault and harassment against the same girl, police said.

On November 26, police had contact with Middleton when he was seen operating a Toyota Camry, authorities said.

Middleton was preliminarily arraigned earlier this month on charges of aggravated assault, false imprisonment, stalking, simple assault, disorderly conduct, accident involving damage to an attended vehicle, harassment, and several traffic offenses. He was brought before District Judge Jan Vislosky and held on 10 percent of $350,000 bail.
