
An unattended cooking incident caused a fire in the Fairless Hills section of Bristol Township on Tuesday evening, according to authorities.

The fire occurred at approximately 6:25 p.m. in a residence located on the 400 block of Linda Lane.
According to dispatch records, the fire was upgraded to bring in additional crews at 6:29 p.m.
The home was unoccupied at the time the fire broke out, according to officials.

The Bristol Township Fire Marshal’s office concluded that the fire was accidental and originated from unattended cooking in the home, Fire Marshal Kevin Dippolito said.
The homeowner reported suffering from smoke inhalation, and they declined medical treatment at the scene, officials said.

The American Red Cross was providing temporary shelter to the affected resident.
The Falls Township, Fairless Hills, Edgely, Levittown No. 2, and William Penn fire companies responded to the blaze. The Levittown-Fairless Hills Rescue Squad also responded to the scene.
