A new project in Falls Township will help an Elks Lodge that is struggling to stay afloat.

The Falls Township Board of Supervisors on Tuesday evening granted preliminary and final land development approval to Britton Realty Morrisville LLC for a joint project aimed at supporting the Elks Lodge on 835 West Bridge Street in the Morrisville section of the township.
To keep the Elks Lodge financially sound, the group will sell the property to Britton Realty Morrisville. The Elks Lodge will lease back the front portion of the building for $1, Britton Realty representatives said.
The area of the property not used by the Elks Lodge will be used by Britton Realty Morrisville as equipment storage.

Britton Realty is associated Britton Industries, a company involved in mulch, soils, and aggregates.
Britton Realty Morrisville will provide a handicapped parking space and a privacy fence to ensure seclusion.

“It sounds like a great thing for the Elks,” Supervisor Brian Galloway said.
