Utility and paving crews are returning to Woodbourne Road this week as part of an ongoing resurfacing project in Middletown Township’s Levittown section.

Work scheduled from Monday, Oct. 5, through Friday, Oct. 9, will force periodic lane closures with flagging between Cobalt Ridge Drive and Big Oak Road.
The restrictions will be in effect during two daily time windows: from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for utility work, and from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. the next morning for repaving.
The operation is part of an ongoing initiative involving Pennsylvania Department of Transportation resurfacing, utility upgrades, and nearby development that began earlier this year. According to a statement, the resurfacing work falls under a broader PennDOT program tasked with repairing, resurfacing, and upgrading more than 240 miles of state-owned highways and roads across Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties.

PennDOT officials warn drivers to anticipate backups and delays throughout the corridor and recommend allowing extra travel time when navigating the work zone.
All scheduled work is subject to weather conditions.
