The training is designed to equip locals with the basic skills needed to care for a family member until emergency responders arrive.
Officials said the class is not a certification course, but rather an opportunity for residents to learn how to care for family members in an emergency.
The classes will be taught by a firefighter/EMTs who are state-certified instructors.
