Early reports were the body was located closer to Quaker Penn Park, but new information from police indicates the recovery was made where Biles Creek and the river meet, which is near the Keystone Trade Center.
At approximately 5:19 p.m., police received a call reporting the discovery of a body in the area of 2300 South Pennsylvania Avenue by Biles Creek. A boater in the area saw the body during low tide and called 9-1-1.
Patrol officers and detectives immediately responded to the scene, working with area fire companies to place a boat in the water and recover the remains, according to Falls Township police Chief Nelson Whitney.

The chief said the body was discovered on the west side of the tidal pool between the Delaware River and Biles Creek.
Following the recovery of the body, it was hauled over the sandbar and the river to a boat launch, where the Bucks County Coroner’s Office removed the remains for further investigation.

The coroner’s office will conduct an autopsy Wednesday in an effort to find the cause of death, Whitney said.
Whitney expressed his gratitude to the Falls Township, Morrisville, and Tullytown fire companies, along with the Trenton Fire Department, the Pennsylvania State Police, and the Falls Township Fire Marshal’s office, for their assistance on the call.
Detective Gregory Small is leading the investigation and anyone with information on the body has been asked to contact him at 215-302-3306 or g.small@fallstwppd.com.
