Last month, the Falls Township Board of Supervisors unanimously voted to approve preliminary and final land development for the proposed expansion at the site on New Ford Mill Road.

B & J Group, a warehousing company in the township, is set to expand its operations by almost one-third with the additional as business booms.

The approved plans involve constructing a 56,840-square-foot addition to the existing 177,986-square-foot building on a 14-acre plot at 1001 New Ford Mill Road in the highway industrial district.

The expansion will involve building an additional 22,840 square feet on the building’s north side, while the east and south sides will see expansions of 13,200 square feet and 20,800 square feet, officials said.

Township engineer Joseph Jones said that a green roof over one of the additions would help counteract the additional impervious surface, and he saw “no adverse effects.”
