The busy intersection that sits in both Bristol Township and Middletown Township filled with fans minutes after the Eagles bested the San Francisco 49ers Sunday evening.

Bristol Township and Middletown Township police blocked traffic as the crowd multiplied. The gathering grew to several hundred cheering Birds fans.

Fans sang the Eagles Fight song and cheered “E-A-G-L-E-S, Eagles!”

The intersection reopened as the evening went on.

Five Points was a gathering point for fans when the Phillies won the World Series in 1980 and in 2008. Last October, Phillies celebrated the team heading the World Series. When the Philadelphia Eagles won the NFC Championship in 2018, about 150 people gathered. Two weeks later when the Eagles won the Super Bowl, a very large crowd gathered to celebrate the big win.
