A woman was taken to a local hospital after coming within feet of veering off the roadway and slamming into a house.

Around 1:20 p.m. Tuesday, a red sedan slammed into the guardrail along Trenton Road near Green Street in Hulmeville Borough.
The single-vehicle crash led to one person, according to a bystander, being taken from the scene by the Penndel-Middletown Emergency Squad.
Firefighters assisted medics and the Pennsylvania State Police at the scene.

Traffic was backed up in the area of the crash until it was cleared.
State police are investigating the wreck.
