Two Levittown-area men were involved in a fatal crash in New York last week, according to a news release.

New York State Police said they were dispatched around 4:15 a.m. last Tuesday to I-287 and the I-95 ramps in the City of Rye, New York. They arrived to find a serious crash between a tractor-trailer and a box truck.
According to New York State Police, a 26-year-old Levittown man was driving the tractor-trailer eastbound on the highway when he left the lanes and struck a disabled box truck on the shoulder.
Richard K. Bradwell, 65, of White Plains, New York, was outside of the box truck adding coolant to the vehicle when the collision occurred. He was struck and died at the scene, state police said.

A 62-year-old White Plains, New York, woman was the passenger in the box truck. She suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was treated at a nearby hospital, state police said.
The 57-year-old Bristol man was the passenger in the tractor-trailer and was transported to a hospital in Stamford, Connecticut for serious but non-life-threatening injuries, state police said.

The crash remained under investigation by New York authorities.
