The supervisors held a moment of silence to remember Rosemary Malisheski, who passed away recently.

The township recognized Malisheski for her service on the Falls Township Board of Auditors and appointments with the Pennsbury School Board.

At the meeting, Falls Township Board of Falls Supervisors Chairperson Jeff Dence said Malisheski welcomed him with open arms when he decided to run for elected office in 2008.

“She’s been a friend for all of us,” Dence said. “I remember the first time I ran for office her parading me through her neighborhood, introducing me to everybody in her neighborhood.”

Malisheski was a proud member of the Falls Township Democratic Party for more than 50 years.

Stephen Seufert, the chairperson of the Falls Township Democratic Party, remembered Malisheski as someone who was already stepping up to help.

“I first met Rosemary as a young volunteer while still at college. She was always so sweet and caring towards me and anyone she encountered,” he said. “I knew I could always count on her for support and advice.”

In addition to giving her time to the community, Malisheski served as a nurse for more than 30 years at Lower Bucks Hospital in Bristol Township. She continued working after retiring from the hospital as a staffer for a cardiologist.

She was married to her husband, Valentine, in 1956 and had two kids.

A viewing for Malisheski will be held on December 2 at 10 a.m. at Saint Michael the Archangel Church at 66 Levittown Parkway in Levittown. Her funeral will follow at 11 a.m. with interment at Washington Crossing National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m.

The supervisors voted last week to appoint former Falls Soccer Club president Sean Murphy to fill her term as an auditor. Murphy will fill the position through 2025.
