Dear friends,
The holiday season is upon us and hustle and bustle is here. That also means the United Way of Bucks County’s Holiday Gift Card Drive is kicking into high gear, and we’re proud to again be the media sponsor.
The United Way of Bucks County’s Holiday Gift Card Drive looks past the hustle and bustle of the season with an eye toward helping. For me, the Holiday Gift Card Drive lets me step back and snap out of the day-to-day rush. The program helps older kids and teens throughout Bucks County and puts focus on kindness, caring for others, and giving with the intention of helping someone who might be down on their luck.

The great thing about this program is how simple it is. Tweens and teens whose families are not able to gift them anything this year are provided gift cards for stores and eateries they would go to, often with their friends. If they’re out with their friends, they can get a treat or buy a pair of jeans. The top-notch team at the United Way of Bucks County have worked so hard over the past few years to make sure donations are put toward getting the best value on gift cards, like using donations to buy gift cards in bulk at a discounted rate.
A surprise, even as simple as a gift card, will deliver a bit of cheer this year, one when many families have been hit by inflation.
Over the past eight years, LevittownNow.com has been honored to work with the United Way of Bucks County on this amazing program. As someone who is on the Board of Directors for the United Way of Bucks County, I’m even more proud of this program.

Our generous readers and business partners have shown an amazing level of support. Our goal is to help at least 2,000 local tweens and teens. One $35 donation can help fulfill gift cards for one tween or teen.
Last year, our community helped 2100 tweens and teens from around the county and were able to provide 300 special holiday treat kits filled with snacks, fresh oranges, hot cocoa, and turkeys.

Our area has so many worthy causes to donate to this time of year, and for many families, things are tighter than normal. But I humbly ask, if you are in a position to spare some support, your help is needed for the Holiday Gift Card Drive. This program is powered by you.
There is still time to donate.

Season’s greetings!
