Just before 10 p.m. Monday, the Edgely, Fairless Hills, Levittown No. 2, Newportville, and Third District fire companies were dispatched to the 40 block of Runway Road for a report of a building fire.

Edgely Fire Company Chief Brian Cirard said an official from Levittown Fire Company No. 2 arrived quickly and discovered two box trucks ablaze, but found the nearby building was not on fire.

The call was quickly downgraded to just crews from the Edgely and Levittown No. 2 fire companies.

Crews fought the flames and put out the fire in the two box trucks, Cirard said.

No one was in the trucks at the time of the crash.

Although Fire Marshal Kevin Dippolito remained on scene just before midnight Monday, he said the blaze was ruled an arson.

Dippolito said one of the two box trucks was filled with furniture.
