The Trenton Line has stops in Bristol Borough, Bristol Township, and Tullytown Borough.

“Both inbound and outbound Trenton Line trains will operate approximately hourly through [Wednesday night],” according to a SEPTA statement.

Andrew Busch, a spokesperson for the regional transit agency, said the reduced service Wednesday could lead to delays Thursday morning.

SEPTA will provide updates on their website and on Twitter.

The derailment happened around 11 a.m. Wednesday in Trenton near the Trenton Transportation Center. The train, which was heading to Center City, Philadelphia, was traveling at a low rate of speed when it left the tracks, the statement said.

There were 25 passenger on board the trail, and no serious injuries to passengers or SEPTA staff were reported, said Busch.

SEPTA is investigating the derailment.

It is unclear if repair work will have to be done to the track at the site of the derailment, according to Busch.

The derailment caused Wednesday delays and impacts on Amtrak’s busy Northeast Corridor and some of New Jersey Transit’s service.
