Bicyclist Struck By Car Along New Falls Road, One Dead

A fatal crash involving a car and a bicyclist occurred Wednesday evening along New Falls Road.

The wreck happened shortly before 8:30 p.m. on New Falls Road just past Bristol-Oxford Valley Road in Bristol Township’s Levittown section.

Firefighters from several companies, medics, and police from Bristol Township and Middletown Township were on the scene.

Bystanders said firefighters worked to lift a Ford Mustang and free the trapped bicyclist.

By 9 p.m., firefighters were surrounding the crash scene with a tarp, and word circulated that the bicyclist had died.

Police confirmed the person died, and said they were investigating.

New Falls Road was closed in the area of the crash as of 9:20 p.m.
