Bristol Township police said the light-colored Chevrolet Trailblazer the “person of interest” in a homicide case was believed to have been driving was located unoccupied.

The Trailblazer was recovered in Philadelphia by city police, Bristol Township authorities said Wednesday evening.
The “person of interest” – Brian Joseph Carey, 41, the victim’s stepson – has not been located and is now believed to be driving a large red truck. There is no information on the truck’s plates.
Carey, who has a recent address in Bensalem Township, was announced Monday morning as the person police want to speak with in connection to the death.

The public has been warned not approach Carey if he is sighted.
Joseph “Dutch” Jakimowicz, 78, was found dead in the Winder Drive he owned since 2013 on Tuesday evening around 7:15 p.m., sources told LevittownNow.com.

Details on Jakimowicz’s death were not released, but it is being treated as a homicide.
Jakimowicz worked as Philadelphia Department of Prisons corrections officer before retiring.

Authorities are seeking a “person of interest” in connection to the death of a retired corrections officer.

Officers and medics were dispatched to the 700 block of Winder Drive around 7:15 p.m. Tuesday. Police quickly established a crime scene after they discovered a 78-year-old man deceased at the home.
Bristol Township police and the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office confirmed to LevittownNow.com Wednesday morning that they are seeking Brian Joseph Carey, 41, the victim’s stepson.

Carey is believed to be driving the victim’s silver 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer with Pennsylvania license plate number GNJ 5128, authorities said.
Police advised the public to not approach Carey and immediately contact 9-1-1 if they see him.

Law enforcement sources have identified the victim as Joseph “Dutch” Jakimowicz, who had lived at the Winder Drive home since 2013.
Public records indicate Jakimowicz is a retired Philadelphia Department of Prisons corrections officer.
As of Wednesday morning, a crime scene unit was stationed outside the house where Jakimowicz was found dead.
