Pennsylvania State Police responded to a report of man in New England Patriots sweatshirt on a Greyhound bus making threats.
Last Tuesday around 5:20 p.m., dispatchers sent troopers to I-95 southbound in Bristol Township for a report a Greyhound bus which was pulled over. A passenger on the bus may have had a gun, according to court papers.

A trooper arrived to find the bus driver locked in the driver’s area of the vehicle and a man with blood stains on his shirt and pants yelling inside the passenger compartment of the bus, state police said.
Troopers said they got the man out of the bus and detained him.
The Greyhound bus driver relayed to investigators the man on the bus trip from Boston to Philadelphia suddenly stood up and threated everyone while they were traveling.

“I’ma shoot all you, motherf**kers. I have a gun,” he reportedly yelled.
“I got a bomb, and I am going to blow up the bus,” he allegedly added.

The driver pulled the bus over and attempted to calm the upset man. The man became “verbally abusive” to him, state police said.
A second bus was called and, while the passengers offloading, the upset man attacked the bus driver. The bus driver fought back and locked himself in the driver’s cage for protection, state police said.
Troopers said they searched the bus and did not locate weapons or bombs.

An uncapped hypodermic needle was located in the bus bathroom and blood was found. Another needle was found on the floor near the bathroom, state police said.
Medics arrived and evaluated the upset man – identified as Bernie Tulip, 44, of Peabody, Massachusetts, state police said.

Tulip was found to have a hypoglycemic blood sugar level and several abscesses on his arms. He was transport to a nearby hospital for treatment, state police said.
Tulip was released from the hospital and preliminarily arraigned on charges of terroristic threats that cause serious public inconvenience, simple assault, use/possession of drug paraphernalia, harassment, and disorderly contact. He was jailed last week on 10 percent of $100,000 bail.
