The National Weather Service issued a Winter Weather Advisory Thursday evening for Bucks County in advance of the storm.

Forecasters at the local National Weather Service office called for 3 to 4 inches of snow to fall between late Thursday night and Friday morning in the area. A band of moisture could bring heavier snow at times.

Forecasters said the bulk of the snow will fall between 1 a.m. and 7 a.m. Friday.

“This will impact travel, particularly during the Friday morning commute,” forecasters said.

The storm follows a winter weather bust that closed schools on Monday but only dropped flurries in the Levittown area. Points closer to the ocean received significant snow totals.

After recent weeks with record-high temperatures, the area is locked in a cold weather pattern over the next few weeks, forecasters said.

PennDOT and Pennsylvania Turnpike officials said they are planning to implement some vehicle restrictions on I-95 and the Turnpike starting at 10 p.m. Thursday.

The restrictions will largely deal with tractor-trailers, commercial buses without alternate traction devices, and other vehicles with trailers.
