A hotel that has gone through numerous name changes over the years is likely to become a warehouse.
Nestled in a state document announcing tax credits for revitalization projects this week, state officials announced the Hammock Hotel in the 6200 block of Route 13 by the Pennsylvania Turnpike bridge in Bristol Township is expected to be turned into a logistics and refrigerated warehouse.

The company behind the project is BCCI Levittown LLC.
A source familiar with the development plan said BCCI Levittown LLC has an agreement to purchase the hotel. The price was not disclosed.
The hotel was last sold by Ratan Rty LLC to HR Penn LLC for $4.8 million in June 2015.

The site sits across the street from an Amazon logistic facility. Documents do not state if the warehouse is related to Amazon.
The tax credit document, which awarded $250,000 in credits to the project, said the Hammock Hotel is a “dilapidated and low-occupied hotel.”

“The project will also solve safety concerns for the neighborhood. The development will get rid of the loitering, needles, trash and 911 calls that have increased significantly at the property over the years,” the document stated.
BCCI Levittown LLC told the state they will spend more than $10 million to build the proposed 110,000-square-foot logistics and refrigerated warehouse that will be “occupied by a well-qualified tenant.” The document lists a real estate firm that has been hired to find a tenant.
Plans submitted in June to the Bucks County Planning Commission show the large warehouse replacing the hotel on the roughly eight-acre lot. The facility will have entrances and exits on Route 13, Hardy Street, and Airport Road.

The state said BCCI Levittown LLC committed to creating 120 jobs at the facility within the first year of operation. The developer also promised the facility will bring more dollars to the township’s coffers through taxes.
The project still needs to go through the land development process and be approved by Bristol Township Council.

Prior to taking the name Hammock Hotel, the hotel was called the Clarion Inn and Ramada by Wyndham.
The hotel is the site of the March 2000 murder of exotic dancer Rachel Siani. The 21-year-old woman’s body was dumped from the turnpike bridge on the New Jersey side of the Delaware River. Her killer, John Denofa, formerly of Buckingham Township, is serving time in a New Jersey prison for her death. The case has garnered national attention over the years.
